The core data-entry hub, and the heart of CarbonGPT. A “measure” is a single activity record — a bill, meter reading or quantity — that the platform converts into tCO₂e.
Set up first
- Facilities — every emission record is attributed to a facility, so add your sites first.
- Predefined Measures — measures and request forms are built from predefined measures, so these must exist first.
What you can do
- Browse every activity you've recorded in one table, with search and pagination for large datasets.
- Use Columns to choose what to show and Filters to narrow by Scope, Facility, Predefined Measure or Request.
- Create Measure opens a two-step wizard: choose a predefined measure (under Scope 1/2/3), then enter the activity details.
- Export Excel downloads the current view.
How to create a measure
1. Start a new measure
On the Measures page, click Create Measure in the top-right. (Add data → “I have bills, meters or quantities” lands in the same place.)
2. Find the right category
Measures are grouped under Scope 1, 2 and 3. Pick the category your activity belongs to — for example, purchased electricity lives under Scope 2.
3. Choose your predefined measure
Open a group to see the predefined measures inside it. Click “Select all measures” to add the whole group, or pick a single measure to add just that one.
4. Enter your activity data and save
For each row set the activity date, facility, amount and unit — CarbonGPT calculates the tCO₂e for you. Use Add row for more entries, or Upload Excel to import in bulk. Click Create Measure to finish.
